XS SHIELD™ applies to the policy holder for damage to the hired vehicle – full policy terms apply.
In the event of a claim, simply charge the amount for the damage incurred to the customer’s credit card (up to the excess level detailed on the rental agreement). The customer then claims this amount back from the insurance company, less a compulsory excess as stated on the policy document. (Claims must be made within 60 days of loss).
1. Tell your customers about XS SHIELD™ and its benefits at the counter.
2. Establish the number of days required
3. Point out the policy exclusions to the customer and confirm details.
4. Enter the customer’s details using either Prohire or your web platform and take payment.
5. Print out the front page of the policy document for the customer to retain. The full document will be emailed to the policyholder and a full copy can be viewed online.
